Debating is a skill used lawyers and other future
careers to win in arguements. You can win arguements by
using the following skills taught in this unit.
Sometimes those arguments/debates are featured in
newspapers and articles.
First you need to know that you need a claim
statement to tell what your opinion is. To do that you
need to restate the thing you are debating and tell your
answer. Then you need evidence to explain your
claim. Try starting with at least 3 data points or
more if possible. Next, add the reasoning explaining why
that evidence supports the claim by explaining how the data
points matter. Finally, you need a concluding sentence to
wrap up all the evidence and reasoning back to
the claim.
